Concert from a Balcony: “To learn is beautiful”

Barbara Kaczyńska – mezzo-soprano and music therapist. Graduate of the Secondary Music School in Białystok. She completed studies in music therapy at the Academy of Music in Katowice. She is a graduate of philology for media and journalism at the University of Warsaw and film directing at the Academy of Social Sciences. She performs songs and opera arias at chamber concerts. As an independent opera singer, she reaches a wide audience with classical music, organising, among other things, the open Concerts from the Balcony. The series was born during the pandemic and was a offer for all those who did not have the chance to go to the opera or theatre. Among the works selected by the singer for the Concert from a Balcony entitled: “To learn is beautiful” are famous arias such as: “Que fais-tu blanche tourterelle” from the opera “Romeo and Juliet” by Ch. Gounod, “Qui m’aurait dit la place” – the so-called Ari with Letters from the Opera “Werther”, or “Mon coeur s’ouvre a toi voix” (translated as ‘My heart opens to your voice’) – the Dalila’s flagship aria from the opera ‘Samson e Dalila’. All the works are linked thematically by admiration for the talent of others. The singer will be accompanied by Piotr Stanisław Bielański. Languages: Polish, French
