Good Strokes: Max Skorwider. Like a Trumpet Made from a Goat’s Arse

Like a Trumpet Made from a Goat’s Arse by Max Skorwider is the latest exhibition in the Good Strokes series, which presents solo projects by outstanding illustrators, comic artists, and cartoonists. Characterized by a distinctive graphic style, a sharp sense of humour, and engagement with pressing social issues, Max Skorwider’s works are instantly recognizable. Skorwider—a graphic designer, illustrator, poster artist, visual artist, curator, and professor at the Magdalena Abakanowicz University of the Arts in Poznań—excels in incisive political commentary, relentlessly exposing the absurdities of reality while playfully engaging with (pop) culture from a critical distance. The exhibition features a selection of his graphic works, known from publications such as Polityka weekly, Kultura Liberalna, and dozens of books for children and adults.
