Phenomenal curator: Danuta Wróblewska and her exhibitions at the MAW

A lecture dedicated to the prominent art historian Danuta Wróblewska, who headed the Department of Contemporary Art at the Museum of the Archdiocese of Warsaw in the years 1983–1989. It was a period of extremely intense exhibition activity of the institution, the direction and character of which she largely co-created. The meeting will present the figure of this exceptional curator—born in Białystok, but professionally and creatively associated with Warsaw—and her role in shaping the cultural sensitivity of Varsovians through art, passion, and commitment carried out in the realities of the Polish People’s Republic.
