Notation. Barbara Falender

Barbara Falender’s studio is located next to the seat of the Alina Foundation, which is housed in the former studio of Alina Szapocznikow. In the film Notation (dir. Anna Wachta / 2023 / Poland / 30 min), Falender speaks with warmth about the inspiration she draws from Szapocznikow’s work, as well as the strong bond she feels with the Old Town, Brzozowa Street, and the late artist’s studio. The film also documents a conversation about the creation of the sculpture Hommage for Alina Szapocznikow.
