Warsaw Uprising 1944. Thirsty for Freedom
For over 30 years, the building at 22 Długa Street has remained a meeting place for Warsaw Insurgents – a space of memory, community, and historical testimony. Currently, you can see the new exhibition “Warsaw Uprising 1944. Thirsty for Freedom” there, in which members of the Association of Warsaw Insurgents share memories of 63 days of fighting and their post-war lives. It was the establishment of the Association that enabled them to create their own environment and a place for regular meetings. Although the witnesses to history are becoming fewer with the passage of years, their stories, memory, and the unique heritage of this place remain at 22 Długa Street.
