The Old Town’s Nooks and Corners. Eugeniusz Helbert’s Photography

The opening of an exhibition of works by Eugeniusz Helbert—a Warsaw art photographer, photojournalist, educator, and member of the Polish Art Photographers’ Association. In his work, Helbert combines documentary recording with a poetic, melancholic interpretation of the world. Associated for years with the Asia and Pacific Museum, he also documented works of art and architecture. The exhibition The Old Town’s Nooks and Corners uncovers intimate fragments of central Warsaw. The author shows places escaping the attention of tourists: hidden courtyards, details, and traces of everyday life, inspiring viewers to explore the Old Town off the main trails and discover its personal character and quiet corners.
